Seasons's Greetings

Season's Greetings from CAE

All our staff wish you a fantastic Festive Season and good health, happiness and success in the year ahead.

Chariots of Fire

Chariots of Fire

The sporting year just keeps getting better and better! At the annual 'Chariots of Fire' race through Cambridge's famous university buildings and parks, this CAE team of elite athletes did a fantastic job and finished a long way in front of over 150 other relay teams. Look out for these superstars at the Rio Olympics in 2016!

CAE exceeds expectations in all key areas

CAE is pleased to report to students, staff and all other stakeholders that the school underwent a successful Educational Oversight inspection through ISI in the 2012 inspection round. CAE achieved Grade 1 (exceeds expectations) in all three sections of the report standards. The full report is available on this website.

What a summer

What a summer!

What a fantastic summer we have had at CAE! This summer was made very special by our new classroom building being put to good use, our new residential summer course for teenagers at Old Buckenham Hall and the great international spirit of the Olympic Games. We had a lot of games and competitions with students cheering each other on at every opportunity. In true international spirit, all the nationalities got together to celebrate after the events.

CAE Summer Celebration

There was a lot to celebrate at CAE this July! We had over 50 different nationalities on our various summer courses and it was great to see them joining in the fun at our summer garden party. CAE staff, homestay hosts and visitors from near and far all came together for an evening of socialising on the CAE lawn, eating exotic evening food and watching fireworks to finish things off. Our new classroom block was also very popular that evening and it was a nice opportunity for CAE students to give our visitors a tour of their classrooms and show them where they did all their hard work.

Jubilee Party

We love a party at CAE and the Queen's Jubilee gave us all an opportunity to celebrate. The food, the atmosphere, the special guests... well, it was all enough to make Sheila, our Director of Studies, skip with joy!

CAE - Showcase school for English UK Spring Mission

What an honour it was for CAE to be chosen as a showcase school for the English UK Spring Inward Mission 2012! Earlier this month, delegates from all over the world spent the day with us. This was a great opportunity for the international delegates to find all about the courses we run at CAE, have a tour of our campus and have lunch chatting with our students. After an afternoon's sightseeing in Cambridge, there was even time for dinner together at a restaurant overlooking the famous King's College Chapel. We look forward to welcoming the delegates and their students to CAE in the near future.

New Classroom Building - Opening Ceremony

On 10th April 2012, Mrs Ewa Adams, CAE's founder principal, pulled the curtain away from the commemorative plaque and CAE's magnificent new classroom block was officially opened. The new building and garden is called 'Kamiya Courtyard' and is dedicated to the Kamiya Family, who founded the school in 1975.

Mrs Adams spoke very fondly of both the Kamiya family and of CAE's early years. She was sure that the school's students and staff would benefit enormously from such wonderful facilities when the building was open for classroom use in May. The new building features all the very latest in architecture, IT and classroom equipment. The classrooms are designed to be adaptable to a range of different group sizes and teaching formats. Look out for more news on this exciting new development later this summer.

Walter Lummerding

What a great bloke!

Walter Lummerding is a great bloke and a great friend of CAE. For many years, Walter has brought over teenage groups from Austria and helped make their stay with us beneficial and enjoyable. March 2012 was Walter's last official UK tour but we hope to get him back to CAE... by popular demand!

30 Nationalities

Over 30 different nationalities at CAE this month!

In addition to some fantastic groups from Brazil, Italy, Chile and Argentina in January and February, we now have students from all over the world on our international Adult General English course. We wish all our exam students every success in their Cambridge exams later this month.

Seasons greetings

Best autumn student feedback...ever!

Our autumn student feedback was the best on record with more categories than ever being awarded the maximum satisfaction level. The 2011 student feedback in the CAE Professional Centre was also excellent, with 99% of the feedback in the top 'Very Good/Good' categories. We are looking forward to keeping all our CAE students happy in 2012!

Seasons greetings
